Padmanabhapuram Palace and Mathoor Aqueduct work as a same-day either/or on Day 2's afternoon — pick the palace for history and traditional architecture, or the aqueduct for a scenic engineering landmark, rather than trying to fit both.

Thirparappu Waterfalls stands apart as a longer add-on, best suited to travelers with extra travel time or a third day, and pairs naturally with the Mathoor Aqueduct leg if you go that route.

Muttom Beach and Kovalam Beach are a relaxation swap rather than sequential stops — either one offers a coastal alternative to the more town-centred Kanyakumari sightseeing, useful if you'd rather unwind than add another monument.
